From Idea Into Reality

Creating new memories with old friends.

The 2025 VP-24 Reunion is being organized by Ken Weinstein, CDR, US Navy (Retired). Ken thought that as we approached the decommissioning anniversary date of our squadron it would be a great time to have a reunion for the former squadron shipmates. It is hard to believe that the squadron was decommissioned on April 30, 1995. The last reunion was in 2017 in Virginia Beach, VA. This year it will be held at NAS Jacksonville the squadron’s former home.

Patrol Squadron 24 has a rich history, with its roots dating back to 1959, when it was first established to serve as a maritime patrol squadron. There were several other designations before the squadron was formally established as VP-24. For more information view our history page that stretches back to 1943 with previous designations. Throughout the years, VP-24 has been stationed at various locations and has participated in numerous significant missions, contributing to our nation's security and defense.
